We were approached by the Managing Director Richard for advice on how they could implement a retail gift service, that had minimal financial risk, while increasing profit and adding value to the guest experience. There were concerns as to how this service could operate successfully, as there was no dedicated shop or additional staff budget.

Liz advised that the best place for this service within a hotel is in the vicinity of the reception desk, to maximise on impulse spending and utilise your reception staff to take payments. Adding a lockable LED lit cabinet is the most cost effective solution. The General Manager Ron Terry was happy to let us manage the project, by choosing a cabinet in keeping with the hotels interior design and then selecting collections of jewellery and mens accessories that would compliment the customer profile and price point. Our visual display manager set the whole display up in a few hours and while doing so advised a member of staff on how to contact us for additional support, stock replenishment and gift packaging.
